Khammam: 10 private hospitals closed for CMRF irregularities

Khammam: The registration of ten hospitals in Khammam that have committed misappropriation of CMRF funds by creating fraudulent bills and without treating the patients has been cancelled.
District medical and health officer (DM&HO), Kalavathi Bai informed that the hospitals’ registration was cancelled and they would be closed following the orders from the Health Director. The orders were issued based on the inspection of the hospitals by the vigilance department and a team of officials of the medical and health department, she said.
Following were the hospitals whose registration was cancelled; Sri Vinayaka Hospital, Sri Kara Multi Specialty Hospital, Sai Multi Specialty Hospital, Vaishnavi Hospital, Sujatha Hospital, Orange Hospital, New Amrita Hospital, Megha Shri Hospital, Dr. JR. Prasad Hospital and Global Multi-Specialty Hospital, the DM&HO told the media on Saturday.
It might be noted that of 28 hospitals whose registration was cancelled in the State, 10 of them belong to Khammam city. The public want the government to step in to completely prevent the management of such erring hospitals to run hospitals in future.
