Khammam: As many as 14 engineering students of Swarna Bharathi Institute of Technology (SBIT), Khammam have been selected for jobs in the global software and consulting services company, Infosys.
The B Tech final year students were selected through virtual technical and HR interviews conducted in February the results of which were announced recently, informed the institute chairman, Gundala Krishna here on Tuesday.
He further informed around 31 students from across erstwhile Khammam district were selected for jobs in Infosys and it was a matter of pride that 14 students belong to SBIT. The students were offered an annual pay package of Rs 3.6 lakh. For the past one decade a placement cell at the institute was dedicated to train the students to secure jobs and many students got jobs through campus placements in multinational companies, he noted.
The institute chairman, Krishna, the college principal, G Raj Kumar, secretary and correspondent, G Dhatri, vice principal, Gandham Srinivasa Rao and others congratulated the students.
