Khammam: As many as 28 engineering graduates of Swarna Bharathi Institute of Technology (SBIT) in Khammam secured jobs in campus placements, informed the college Chairman, Gundala Krishna.

In a statement here on Wednesday he said the multi-national company TCS has recently conducted online campus placements and offered jobs to the SBIT students with an annual pay package of Rs 4 lakh.

In order to ensure the success of the college students in campus placement drives a dedicated wing consisting of experts has been set up to impart specialised communication skills, coding and interview skills on a regular basis, Krishna informed.

As a result the students were able to secure a job along with their engineering certificate while leaving the institute upon completion of studies, he said while congratulating the students who got jobs in TCS.

The SBIT secretary and correspondent, Dr. G Dhatri said that training was being given to the students through well known software training and skill development firms like COIGN and FACE. Steps would be taken to see that 100 percent of students could be achieved in future.

The college principal G Raj Kumar informed that the students were selected after an online interview followed by technical and HR rounds. Of the students who secured jobs, 18 were from the CSE department, six from ECE, three from EEE and one from the mechanical department. Academic directors AVV Siva Prasad, C Srinivas Sarma and G Pravin Kumar congratulated the selected students.
