Khammam: 50-year-old man sentenced to 20 years imprisonment for raping eight-year-old boy

Khammam: The first additional district sessions judge, K Uma Devi sentenced a 50 year old man to 20 years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 10, 000 for raping an eight year old boy in Khammam.
The convict, Shaik Khadar Ali of Mominan Bazaar was found guilty of the rape that took place on November 27, 2021 under the limits of the one-town police station.
An FIR was registered at the police station under IPC Section 376 and Section 5 read with Section 6 of POCSO Act, 2012 based on the complaint of the boy’s father.
It was said that Khadar Ali took the boy, studying fourth standard, belonging to Rathi Darwaja area of Nizampeta in Khammam to his house at Momnan Bazaar on the pretext of giving him guavas and forcibly raped him. But the boy managed to escape from him and told his parents about the incident.
Town ACP B Anjaneyulu acted as the investigating officer while prosecution was done by public prosecutor A Shankar. Sub-Inspectors of Police MA Rasheed and Srikanth along with home guard Md. Ayub served as the court liaison.
