Khammam: Students should be disciplined; practice meditation and engage in physical activity so that they could face the pressure in life, suggested district Collector Muzammil Khan.

The Collector addressed students at Swarna Bharathi Institute of Technology (SBIT), Khammam at an anti-drug conference on Monday. He said that challenges of life could be easily faced if one maintains discipline in their daily life.

In recent times youths were getting addicted to drugs due to pressure and were not only losing their precious life but also causing severe disappointment to parents who have high hopes for them, he said.

Khan wanted all the students to be vigilant about the bad impact of drugs and if any of their friends fall into such addictions, they have to provide information to the concerned department officials as a social responsibility and to save their future.

The college chairman Gundala Krishna said that students should focus their attention towards education and future. One should not give room to bad habits and prepare plans keeping the future in mind.

District Welfare Officer Ramgopal Reddy and DCPO Vishnu Vandana administered a pledge by the students against drug consumption. Trainee Collector Mrunal Thakur, the college secretary and correspondent Dr. G Dhatri, principal Dr. B Raj Kumar and others were present.
