Khammam: Auto driver pays SSC exam fees for 20 students in Wyra mandal
An auto-rickshaw driver from Siripuram KG village in Khammam district paid SSC exam fees for 20 students of the local ZP High School. Shaik Lateef has been supporting poor students for years, providing free rides and school supplies.
Wyra SI, P Rama Rao felicitated auto rickshaw driver Shaik Lateef for his kind gesture.
Khammam: Proving that one needs only a kind heart and not wealth to help others, an auto-rickshaw driver paid the SSC exam fees for 20 students of the Zilla Parishad High School at Siripuram KG village in Wyra mandal of the district.
The driver and social worker, Shaik Lateef of the village, handed over Rs 2,500 to the school teachers through Wyra Sub-Inspector of Police Pushpala Rama Rao towards the exam fees.
Speaking on the occasion, the SI lauded Lateef for his kind gesture. He said Lateef has been paying exam fees for students of the school for the past few years, besides distributing free notebooks and offering free rides in his auto-rickshaw to pregnant women visiting hospitals for medical check-ups.
The school teachers Mujeeb, Suresh and others thanked Lateef for supporting students from poor financial backgrounds in Snanalalakshipuram, Siripuram, Punyapuram and nearby villages. The SI and the school staff felicitated Lateef as a mark of honour.
