Khammam BRS gears up for Deeksha Diwas

Khammam: The district BRS has been gearing up for organising Deeksha Diwas to be held on November 29.
A district level preparatory meeting for the purpose was held here on Tuesday. The party state general secretary, MLC Takkallapally Ravinder Rao and district president, MLC Tatha Madhusudhan attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Deeksha Diwas in-charge Ravinder Rao said November 29, on which the party chief K Chandrashekhar Rao launched hunger strike, would remain in the history as the day that laid the foundation for the realisation of the dream of separate Telangana.
The party leaders discussed arrangements and activities to be taken up for Deeksha Diwas. They called on party’s election members, leaders, activists and affiliated organisations to attend the event in large numbers to make it a success.
Madhusudhan informed that drawing inspiration from Deeksha Diwas, which united Telangana community, various programmes would be undertaken in Khammam district to rekindle the spirit of the Statehood movement among the people.
Former MLAs S Venkataveeraiah, K Koteswara Rao, B Chandravathi, former ZP chairman L Kamal Raju, ex-DCCB chairman K Nagabhushanam, former market committee chairman Gundala Krishna, the party city president P Nagaraju and others were present.
