Khammam: A charitable organisation has extended financial assistance to an MBBS student with the help from donors. ‘Pay Back to Society – Promoting Education’ founder J Lakshman Rao and its members Ch Kanakaiah, J Jaipal and others handed over an amount of Rs 15, 000 to the student K Krishnaveni, a poor dalit student from Kalluru in the district.
A statement from the society here on Saturday informed that Krishnaveni, though coming from a poor family, was a meritorious student . After completing intermediate in a SC Gurukul she secured an MBBS seat in a Medical College in Hyderabad.

Sujatha Hospitals MD Rentala Bharath, doctors at Shanvi Hospitals V Shiva Krishna and Shashanka,CI D Pratap and advocate Palla Rajasekhar have contributed financially to the cause. The society members also assured to support the student financially next year. They urged Krishnaveni to complete MBBS successfully and to stand up for poor students through Pay Back to Society after she settled as a doctor.
