Khammam: Khammam Two Town Circle Inspector (CI) Thumma Gopi played the role of a good samaritan when he rescued a destitute starving on the pavement at Mayuri Centre in the city on Thursday.
The CI, with the help of the locals, offered fruits to the distressed man, bought him a pair of new slippers and clothes. The man was later shifted to an orphanage run by Annam Foundation’s Annam Srinivas Rao in the police vehicle. Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqubal appreciated the kind gesture of the CI.
