Khammam: District Collector Anudeep Durisetty suggested that better results in administration could be achieved through the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
He made a power-point presentation to create awareness among officials on how AI technology could be used in administration. The use of AI technology would help to complete work better and faster, and every officer should use it, he said.
Better Excel and power-point presentations could be prepared through AI. For instance, if the details of the purchase of paddy in the last five years were uploaded, the AI application would provide a list of rice millers with high pending orders in a matter of seconds and would indicate where to focus. Tasks that take two to three hours could be completed in minutes by using AI, he said.
Durisetty said that AI could also be used to monitor the progress of various programmes implemented by the government in each department and the performance of the staff. Officials should perform office duties effectively using AI tools.
Through the use of AI tools, officials could work efficiently in less time, and district officials should increase awareness about AI tools and train the staff. With AI technology, apps could also be developed according to specific needs.
At least two district officers should give a power-point presentation on how AI could be used in their department next week. AI technology would be very useful in taking government schemes to beneficiaries quickly and effectively, the Collector said.
Additional Collectors Dr P Sreeja and P Srinivasa Reddy, ZP CEO Deeksha Raina and others were present.
