Khammam Collector RV Karnan selected for Best Electoral Practices Award

The Collector was selected for the award in recognition of his outstanding services in taking the district to the top position in the State with regard to electoral rolls summary revision, enrollment of young voters and rationalisation of polling stations in the year 2020.

Khammam: District Collector and District Election Officer RV Karnan has been selected for the ‘State Best Electoral Practices Award’ for the year 2020.

The Collector was selected for the award in recognition of his outstanding services in taking the district to the top position in the State with regard to electoral rolls summary revision, enrollment of young voters and rationalisation of polling stations in the year 2020.

It may be recalled that Karnan was presented the ‘State Democracy Award’ for the year 2019 by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan in last January, for his outstanding contribution in conducting local bodies elections in Khammam.

Responding to his being selected for the award, Karnan expressed pleasure and said the award was an  outcome of collective efforts made by officials and staff concerned.
