Khammam: The district Congress leaders seem to be emulating Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in being absent-minded and inattentive to the facts.

The party has on Tuesday organised a protest rally from the district Congress office to ZP centre in Khammam city condemning the reported remarks made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah against Dr. BR Ambedkar.

The rally was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, the party district president Puvvalla Durga Prasad and other senior leaders. The rally and the leaders’ interaction with the media were all fine.

But the party committed a blunder as the banner, which was carried in front during the rally with a photo of Shah marked in red with x mark; Shah was addressed as union Defense Minister, a portfolio held by Rajnath Singh. All through the rally none of the leaders have noticed it.

The photograph of the rally was shared widely on social media groups highlighting the Congress leaders’ lack of knowledge about the portfolios of union Ministers. Many have commented that the two ministers who took part in the rally should have noticed the mistake and corrected it.

It might be recalled that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressing a public gathering in this October mistakenly stated that the Bhakra Nangal Dam, which was located in Himachal Pradesh, was built in Telangana by Congress government and that incident also went viral on social media as many questioning the Chief Minister’s lack of common sense.
