Khammam: Disciplinary action has been initiated against the TNGOs Union district president and Aswapuram MPDO, Eluri Srinivas Rao in the wake of alleged irregularities in the TNGOs Housing Society here.
Panchayat Raj Commissioner on Tuesday issued an order transferring the MPDO to Narayanpet district in view of pending Vigilance and Enforcement case against him and allotted him to the Zilla Praja Parishad.
It may be recalled that Srinivas Rao was among the 16 members of the Housing Society who were facing charges of irregularities in housing plots allotment and other charges.
Based on an enquiry report given by a four-member committee, it was recommended to book cases against those 16 members of the society’s management committees served since the society’s formation.
On the other hand, a former leader of the society Kurapati Ranga Raju, who was among those 16 members, denied his involvement in any illegal activity during his tenure.
Speaking to the press persons here on Wednesday he maintained he was retired from the government service in 2016 and also left the TNGOs Housing Society’s management committee.
