Hyderabad: Khammam District scored an exciting one‑run win against Mahabubabad District in the East Zone league of the TCA Telangana Gold Cup, organised by the Telangana Cricket Association, at Kakatiya University Grounds in Warangal on Sunday.
Batting first, Khammam made 159 for nine in 20 overs with Imran Shaik (37, 4×4, 3×6) as the top‑scorer.
In reply, Mahabubabad fell short of the target by one run after being restricted to 158 for eight in 20 overs despite a fine knock by A Madhu (56, 4×4, 3×6).
Imran Shaik was named player of the match.
