Khammam home guard dies by suicide after jumping before train
A 44-year-old home guard allegedly died by suicide after reportedly jumping in front of a speeding train near Nagulavancha railway station in Khammam district. His body was found by local residents on Saturday.

Khammam: A home guard, Kolikapogu Shankara Rao (44), allegedly died by suicide in Chintakani mandal in the district.
According to police, the deceased, a resident of Railway Colony near Nagulavancha railway station, was working as a home guard in Khammam. He reportedly went to the railway track near his house on Friday evening and jumped in front of a speeding train.
Local residents spotted his body on Saturday. The reasons behind the alleged suicide are not yet known. The railway police have registered a case and are investigating.
