Khammam: Mechanics Union extends financial aid to kin of deceased member
Two-wheeler mechanics handed over financial assistance to family members of a mechanic who died of Covid, in Khammam on Thursday.

Khammam: The Khammam District Two-wheeler Mechanics Union extended a helping hand to the family of a member of the association who died recently.

Akbar was a mechanic for 20 years and died last month due to Covid-19. The union leaders learnt about the mechanics’ death from his wife Khader Bi. They raised an amount of Rs 38,000 and handed over it to Khader Bi.


Union president, Kondal Rao said the union would always be ready to help its members and their families. He urged the State government to identify the mechanics as unorganised workers and make insurance applicable to them.

The union leaders Abdul Hakeem, Syed Ali Pasha, Sivarama Krishna, Nagaraj, Ramu, Khaza, Rama Rao, Krishna, Wahid, Narsimha Rao, Nageswarao, Subhani and others were present.
