Khammam Police wins 42 medals in State-level sports meet

Khammam: Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt congratulated police personnel who won 42 medals in the Telangana State 3rd Police Games and Sports Meet-2025 held in Karimnagar from January 28 to February 1.

They won medals in competitions such as kabaddi, volleyball, athletics, handball, wrestling, shuttle badminton, judo, weightlifting, powerlifting, lawn tennis, table tennis and others. Bhadradri Zone stood third in the overall championship.

Dutt wished the sportspersons to win medals in the national level police sports meet by displaying the same sporting spirit. Participating in sports and games would help the personnel to overcome stress. It was appreciable that women enthusiastically participated in the competitions and won medals, he said.

Later in the day, the CP issued orders giving postings to nine probationary Sub-Inspectors of Police (civil) after completion of their five-month training. They recently completed their basic training and reported to the Khammam police commissionerate.
