Khammam: IT Hub in Khammam has become a major source of employment for the local IT professionals, said Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar. At a programme at IT Hub on Saturday, the minister handed over offer letters to around 21 candidates selected for jobs at IT Khammam.
The jobs were offered by an IT firm Sovereign IT Solutions operating at IT Hub and expanding its work force.
Speaking on the occasion Ajay Kumar said it was a good development that Khammam IT Hub has been providing job opportunities to the unemployed in the district in the field of technology.
He asked various IT companies operating at IT Hub to further expand their services and provide similar job opportunities to the youth of the district. IT Tower-2 would come up soon in Khammam at a cost of Rs 36 crore and once it becomes operational more jobs could be offered, he said.
Keeping in view long term perspective and to support the additional demand the IT Tower-2 would have a built up space of 55, 000 square feet with a 570 seat capacity, he added. Sovereign IT Solutions CEO Praneeth, Managing Directors B Naga Prasad Rao and Prakash were present.
