Khammam: District Education Officer and additional Collector (Local Bodies) Dr. P. Sreeja issued orders on Saturday suspending T Laxman Rao, a school assistant at Surdepalli MPP Higher Secondary School in Nelakondapalli mandal.
He was working on deputation in the DEO office. He was accused of leaving his headquarters and going to a crackers shop near Konijerla, where he got into an argument with the shop owner, abusing them with obscene language and destroying CCTV cameras.
It might be noted that Laxman Rao on October 6 created a ruckus at Sri Srinivasa Crackers run by a trader from Paloncha in Kothagudem district. Claiming support of a minister in Khammam and police, he tried to manhandle the shop owner for selling crackers at lower prices.
Based on the complaint of the shop owner, Konijerla police registered a case against Laxman Rao and in view of the police case against him he was suspended from service. A video clipping of the incident went viral on social media.
