Khammam: Three persons died while a man washed away in NSP canal, in separate incidents, in erstwhile Khammam district on Friday. In an incident at Muthugudem of Khammam Rural mandal a married woman, A Nandini (23) drowned in the canal and her husband was washed away. The woman’s dead body was found at Pallegudem while her husband A Parashuram went missing.
The incident took place when the couple went to the canal to wash clothes and accidentally fell into the canal. Paralegal volunteer A Srinivas Rao and police recovered and shifted the woman’s body to District Hospital. The search for Parashuram was going on.
On the other hand, family disputes have allegedly led to suicide by two men in the district. A man called Samudrala Durgaprasad (32) hanged himself at his residence at Kakatiya Nagar, Yellandu town in Kothagudem district. In another incident, a 35 year old man Reddimalla Ramesh, who was deserted by his wife a few months ago, hanged himself at his residence at Tettelapadu village in Tirumalayapalem mandal in Khammam district, police said.
