Khammam to host SFI Telangana State Conference in next February, logo released
The conference logo was released here on Friday by the reception committee chairman Muvva Srinivas Rao along with its vice chairmen IV Ramana, M Veera Reddy and Kantha Rao, honorary advisers M Subba Rao, SFI state president RL Murthy and state secretary T Nagaraju.

Khammam: The Student Federation of India’s (SFI) 5th Telangana State Conference would take place in Khammam city on February 20, 21 and 22 in 2025.
The conference logo was released here on Friday by the reception committee chairman Muvva Srinivas Rao along with its vice chairmen IV Ramana, M Veera Reddy and Kantha Rao, honorary advisers M Subba Rao, SFI state president RL Murthy and state secretary T Nagaraju.
Srinivasa Rao said with the slogan of ‘Study-Struggle’ SFI, since 1970, has been staging struggles against anti-education policies in the country. SFI would fight against religious fanaticism, faulty education policies being adopted by the governments, problems like high fees and for the preservation of democracy. The Khammam conference should lay the foundation for the future struggles, they said.
Murthy and Nagaraju said that the Congress government in Telangana failed to fulfill the promises related to the education sector such as allocating 15 percent funds in the budget and filling vacant posts. These issues would be discussed with a call for united struggles to protect the education sector.
The conference would take decisions against sectarian policies in educational institutions. As many as 1000 delegates selected from across the State, intellectuals and student representatives from other States would participate in the conference, they said.
SFI district president Sudhakar and secretary Praveen informed that Khammam hosted SFI’s 14th state conference in 2000 in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and after 25 years, it was being held in Khammam for the first time after the formation of Telangana.
