Khammam: Youth slits his throat, refuses treatement, all for love
Sheikh Imran, 23, attempted self-harm at his aunt's house. Family members quickly took him to Sathupalli Government Hospital for treatment as he was bleeding heavily. However, during treatment, Imran fled the hospital, stating he did not want medical attention.
Khammam: A youth allegedly attempted suicide by slitting his throat with a blade at Bethupalli of Sathupalli mandal in the district on Wednesday.
23-year-old Sheikh Imran made the attempt at his aunt’s house. The family members rushed the youth, who was bleeding profusely, to the Sathupalli Government Hospital for treatment. While being treated in the hospital, Imran ran away from the hospital saying that he did not want treatment.
Hospital staff and family members got hold of him and continued treatment. The family members said he had attempted suicide four times in the past. It was said that he attempted suicide in view of family disputes caused because of his love marriage.
