Hyderabad: Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming spy thriller Kingdom is just days away from its worldwide release, and the excitement around the film is climbing steadily. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the action drama will hit the screens on Thursday, July 31 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
In a rare move, the first public screening of Kingdom will not be in India but overseas. The makers have confirmed that there will be no paid premiere shows across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on the eve of release. Instead, the very first premiere has been locked for 11 pm IST on Wednesday in the United States.
For viewers in America, the action-packed entertainer will open at 1:30 pm Eastern Time (New York, New Jersey, Florida, Washington D.C., Georgia, etc), 12:30 pm Central Time (Texas, Illinois (Chicago), Minnesota, Louisiana, etc) and 10:30 am Pacific Time (California, Washington (Seattle), Oregon, Nevada), giving NRIs a chance to watch it several hours before the Indian audience.
Back home, there is strong buzz about early morning shows in Andhra Pradesh on the release day. Although speculations are surrounding around morning shows as 4 am or 7 am, an official announcement from the team is awaited.
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, Kingdom boasts an ensemble cast with Bhagyashree Borse, Satya Dev, and Ayyappa Sharma playing key roles. The film also features a pulsating score by Anirudh Ravichander, which has already created a stir on music platforms.
Advance ticket sales in both India and the U S are showing a healthy trend, raising expectations that Kingdom will open to packed houses.
