Kisan Congress demands State Assembly to resolve against Agri Bills

Hyderabad: Kisan Congress National Vice Chairman M Kodanda Reddy has demanded the State government to pass a resolution in the State legislature against the agricultural bills brought by the NDA government at the Centre.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Kodanda Reddy along with Sunketa Anvesh Reddy, Chairman State Kisan Congress alleged that the TRS government has a tacit understanding with the BJP at the Centre and it has not vehemently opposed when the bills were introduced.
The Kisan Congress leaders demanding a compensation of Rs 20,000 per acre of paddy and Rs 30,000 for cotton and other crops damaged in recent floods said that the State government was not fully prepared to report the rain and flood related damage to the inter -ministerial team that visited the State to estimate the damage. Kisan Congress also demanded a bonus of Rs 600 per quintal on paddy taking the MSP to Rs 2500 per quintal of fine variety of rice.
“The State should have submitted its report to the Centre even before the team arrived here. But the government has no such report prepared with it,” Kodanda Reddy said. He said that the Kisan Congress from its side has submitted a letter explaining the extent of crop damage to the central team on Friday.
