Warangal: BJP senior leader and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has said that the voters of the Huzurabad Assembly constituency were in favour of the BJP and exuded confidence of winning the MLA seat for sure.

He said that he had visited seven villages of the constituency and observed that the tide was turning in favour of the BJP candidate and former minister Eatala Rajender.

Addressing a press meet here on Saturday, Kishan Reddy has alleged that the ruling TRS was misusing the power and urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) to take steps for a free and fair election in the high-voltage by-poll by deploying the security forces and putting the observers in place. “The TRS party is making false propaganda to woo the voters. It is also misusing the power as it took the by-poll as a prestigious one. The TRS activists are attacking the BJP workers. In view of this, I urge the ECI to take measures for the fair election,” he added.

Predicting that the result of the Huzurabad by-poll will have an impact on the State, he urged the voters to ensure the victory of Eatala Rajender with a thumping majority and put an end to ‘family rule’ in Telangana. He denied the allegation that the BJP candidate had a secret pact with Congress.
To a query, he said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s tour is yet to be finalised. “We are yet to take a call on Amit Shah’s tour as we feel that there is no need for Amit Shah’s campaign as the voters were in favour of BJP,” he added. Former Minister D K Aruna, former MLA NVSS Prabhakar, and other BJP leaders were present.
