Hyderabad: Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) G Kishan Reddy will visit Ramappa Temple at Palampet in Mulugu district on Thursday to unveil the World Heritage plaque and inaugurate various public amenities. The Ramappa temple is the first World Heritage Site from Telangana State.
Later, he will visit the Thousand Pillar Temple in Warangal, apart from attending the light and sound show at Warangal Fort later in the evening.
During his day-long tour, the Union Minister will inaugurate the Tribal Circuit projects at Gattamma enroute to Ramappa under SWADESH Darshan scheme of the Union Tourism Ministry. In 2017, the Central government had sanctioned Rs 75.88 crore for the integrated development of a tribal circuit of Mulugu-Laknavaram-Medavaram-Tadvai-Damaravi-Mallur-Bogatha Waterfalls under the scheme. As a part of this circuit, the Union Minister will begin the day by inaugurating the Haritha restaurant block at Gattamma.
