KITEX Garments likely to commence production at Warangal unit from December

The move is expected to create huge employment opportunities in the textile industry, with KITEX alone providing jobs for 12,500 individuals at its Warangal unit by December this year.

Hyderabad: Premier garment manufacturer KITEX Garments Limited is likely to commence its production at its Warangal unit from December this year. The company is investing a whopping Rs 3,000 crore in its units at Warangal and also Sitarampur in Hyderabad to produce a massive 22 lakh garments per day.

The move is expected to create huge employment opportunities in the textile industry, with KITEX alone providing jobs for 12,500 individuals at its Warangal unit by December this year. Another 12,500 jobs are expected to be generated by November next year. Similarly, the Hyderabad unit which is scheduled to commence operations in December next year, also likely to generate around 12,500 jobs. Nearly 80 percent of the workforce to be employed here, are to be women.


Responding to news reports about inauguration of the garment manufacturing unit on X, BRS working president and former Industries Minister KT Rama Rao was delighted to note that before the end of this fiscal, the company will start operations in Kakatiya Mega Textile Park. So happy to see this. KITEX holds a special place in my heart for the way it unfolded ,” he said.

It was KT Rama Rao, as Industries Minister, who reached out to KITEX Group MD Sabu Jacob after KITEX pulled out of Kerala. The previous BRS government had laid the red carpet and arranged a special flight to get Jacob to invest in multiple ventures in Telangana.
