Warangal: Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science Warangal (KITSW) secured the National Employability Award-2022. The representatives of the SHL India, New Delhi, handed over the award at a programme held at the committee hall, KITS campus, here on Friday, said KITSW Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy.
In a press note here on Sunday, Prof Reddy said that a total of 865 KITSW students had got campus placements in various MNCs for the academic year 2020-21 with the highest package of Rs 15.12 LPA and the average package of Rs 4.33 LPA.
“For the present academic year (AY 2021-2022), there were 365 B Tech final year students who have been selected through campus placements in MNCs from Civil, Mechanical, EEE, ECE, CSE and IT branches,” he said, adding that the SHL, India, had conferred the award based on this campus placements records.
“SHL’s (Aspiring Minds) awards, which began in 2012, are the only ones given based on actual student success on a standardized test rather than superficial characteristics such as infrastructure or faculty. SHL honours the top Indian institutes based on the AMCAT, India’s Largest Employability Test, scores of its final year engineering students,” he added.
