Warangal Urban: Arun Kumar Mattepalli, a library assistant at the Central Library of the Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW), was awarded PhD degree by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK).
In a press note, KITSW Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy said that Arun Kumar had submitted his PhD thesis titled “Use of Electronic Information Resources in Selected Engineering College Libraries in Telangana State-A Study”.
He did his research work under the supervision of Dr M Anjaiah, an Assistant Professor in Library and Information Science, Dravidian University, Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh. “Arun has found gaps in the literature on access to electronic information resources in engineering college libraries in India, especially Telangana and also on realising the importance and need for such a study in the present electronic era on use of e-resource in engineering libraries for the benefit of students and faculty,” Prof Ashoka Reddy added.
KITSW Secretary & Correspondent, and MP (Rajya Sabha) Capt V Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, Central Library Staff, All the deans, all the heads, faculty, staff and Associate Professor and PRO Dr D Prabhakara Chary and others have congratulated him on being awarded a Ph.D degree.
