Warangal: Syed Abdul Moeed, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW), was awarded a PhD degree by the Mewar University, Gangrar in Chittorgarh, said by the Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy.

In a press note released here on Sunday, the Principal said that Syed Abdul Moeed had submitted his PhD thesis titled “Performance and Analysis of Interactive Faults Detection in Acceptance Testing Based on Optimal Test Cases Using Gravitational Search Algorithm”. He did his research work under the supervision of Prof P Niranjan, Dean of Research and Development, and Former Head of the Department of CSE at KITS, Warangal.

It is said that Syed Abdul Moeed had developed a novel approach to investigate the multiple inputs to solve optimization problems by using Gravitational Search Algorithm to produce output with reduced faults. This approach can predict the possibility of the software containing faults. “The aim of the thesis is to develop an enhanced approach for the prediction of software reliability in the software development process due to rapid growth in size and complexity of software,” Prof Ashoka Reddy added.

KITSW Secretary and Correspondent Capt V Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer P Narayana Reddy and faculty members have congratulated Sd Abdul Moeed for doing more applicable industry needed research in the field of Software Development.
