Warangal: A married woman wielding a knife created a ruckus at the Warangal junction here on Wednesday.

The woman, Jyothsna allegedly attempted to attack her husband Srikanth in the wake of his alleged extramarital affair with another woman. He managed to escape from his furious wife and hid himself in a jewellery and contacted the police through Dial-100.


The police arrived at the scene, recovered the knife from the woman and tried to pacify her. She entered into heated arguments with the police, demanding to return the knife and severe punishment to her husband and his lover.

She accused her husband of seizing her assets and staying away from her. The incident caused panic for some time in the area as passersby gathered at the spot watching the unfolding drama while passing comments.
