Hyderabad: Telangana Jana Samithi founder M Kodandaram on Monday said there was growing negativity against the Congress government in the State and urged the party leadership to initiate corrective measures without delay.

The remarks assume political significance as the TJS is an ally of the ruling Congress. After unfurling the national flag at the party office here on Monday, Kodandaram spoke to media persons and expressed concern over the direction in which public perception of the government was heading.

He referred to the Singareni tenders controversy and the adverse reports appearing in a section of the media, stating that such issues were contributing to negative sentiment. Kodandaram also found fault with the Congress government for failing to release the job calendar, pointing out that the delay was fuelling unrest among unemployed youth, as per reports.

He is also learnt to have expressed unhappiness over the state of affairs in the State Cabinet, particularly in the context of allegations and reports being carried in parts of the media, which, he felt, were further denting the government’s image.
