The State government has big plans which are underway in Kokapet.
Hyderabad: The pre-bidding meeting ahead of the e-auction of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) plots was held here on Friday. “The Kokapet HMDA layout, being a green field project, is planned to be the best available in terms of infrastructure and planning. It will perhaps be the best township in the country,” Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar told developers and realtors who attended the meeting.
The State government has big plans which are underway in Kokapet. Electrical substations (400 ,220, 132 and 33 KV), new drinking water pipelines, an exclusive trumpet road connecting the Kokapet layout to outer ring road (ORR) and 100 feet roads and underground electricity cables are some among dozens of infrastructure works that will be taken up. The government has already granted 5.3 acre of land to set up sub-stations and 9.3 acres of land parcel to the Water Board to develop infrastructure pertaining to drinking water supply.
Another perk granted to builders and developers is – there is restrictions on floor space index. The plots will be auctioned by the HMDA and the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) on behalf of the State government.
A total of 13 land parcels spread over 64.93 acres will be auctioned. Among them, eight plots measuring 49.92 acres are located in Kokapet and five land parcels summing up to 15.01 acres are in Khanamet.
