The team will be staying at the Hyatt Regency Kolkata, located close to the Salt Lake Stadium, giving the visitors a convenient base as they prepare for their friendly against India. Soon after their arrival, four to five Uruguay players made a brief visit to the Salt Lake Stadium practice ground.

They had a brief activation session, getting a feel for the conditions and familiarising themselves with the surroundings ahead of the match.

The early arrival also allows the Uruguay team to settle into the city and begin their preparations before matchday. With the team now in Kolkata, the build-up to the second of the two high-profile fixtures is already taking shape.
