Kollur housing project bags HUDCO award
The project bagged HUDCO award for Best Practices 2019-20 under Housing, Urban Poverty and Infrastructure theme
Hyderabad: Telangana Government’s double bedroom housing project got yet another national recongintion with the Kollur project bagging the Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) award. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is taking up a huge project of constructing 15,660 double bedroom houses at Kollur at a cost of Rs.1,408 crore.
The project bagged HUDCO award for Best Practices 2019-20 under Housing, Urban Poverty and Infrastructure theme. To provide 2 BHK housing to the urban poor people free of cost, GHMC has taken up construction of 15,660 double bedrooms in Kollur phase-II. These units are being provided with piped potable water supply and underground drainage system with sewerage treatment plant along with external electrification with underground cabling network and street lighting are provided here.
Parks, play grounds, open air gyms, commercial complex, community centers, schools, anganwadi centers, bus stops, police station, fire station, milk booth, petrol bunks, integrated hospital, banks, ATMs and places of worship are among other facilities extended at Kollur dignity housing.

• Rain water harvesting pits for improvement of ground water
• Energy efficient electrical fittings and appliances
• Commercial complex at three locations
• Power back-up for lifts and common lighting in corridor
• Stilt parking, tot lots and fire-fighting arrangement
