Hyderabad: Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy on Thursday dismissed reports of his resignation and urged people and Congress workers not to believe what he termed as “fake news”.
“A few vested interests, who cannot stomach my growth, are spreading fake news on social media. Please do not believe such fake news,” Rajgopal Reddy told reporters at Chityala in Nalgonda.
He said false reports had been circulating on social media about his resignation, plans to shift to another party, or even launching a new one.
“I have been raising objections over a few issues in party affairs and government functioning, but that does not mean I am quitting Congress,” he said, adding that he would announce his future political plans at a press conference.
