Hyderabad: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy’s comments against senior Congress MP Shashi Tharoor have not gone well with the party leadership in New Delhi and also leaders in the State.

Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, objecting to the TPCC president’s comments, tweeted: “Dr Shashi Tharoor is a renowned parliamentarian and highly regarded as public intellectual. His personality inspires everyone across the political spectrum. As a senior Congressman, I am deeply hurt by the unwarranted remarks made by @INCTelangana president against Tharoor Sahib.”

Revanth Reddy had described his senior colleague in Parliament Tharoor a ‘donkey’ during a chat with mediapersons here on Wednesday.

This triggered a political storm, forcing Revanth Reddy to take back his words and tender an apology to Tharoor on Thursday, after the party leadership slammed him for the remarks.
