Komuravelly temple in Siddipet gears up for annual jathara

Siddipet: Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple Komuravelly is gearing up for the annual jathara and the three-month-long festivities will commence on Sunday morning with Patnamvaram.
There would be special rituals every Sunday for the next 10 weeks during the jathara. The temple authorities had illuminated the temple after painting it. Hundreds of devotees will take up the deeksha of Mallikarnjuan Swamy every year.
They would arrive in scores on Sunday to relinquish the Deeksha on the first day after strictly following the Deeksha for 41 days.
As devotees from Secunderabad arrive in huge numbers on the second Sunday, January 26, it will observed as Lashkarvaram.
Since the temple authorities were expecting over 50,000 devotees to turn out on the first Sunday, the police were making all arrangements to ensure a smooth darshan for devotees. The festivities would end on March 23 with Agnigundalu.
