Konda Surekha retracts comments on actors, but sticks to remarks on KTR

My comments are meant to question a leader's attitude towards women and not to hurt your sentiments, the Minister said in a post on X

Hyderabad: Facing severe criticism from different sections and the film industry, Forest Minister Konda Surekha said that she was retracting her comments made against actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and other actors. The Minister said her intention was not to hurt Samantha’s feelings.

“My comments are meant to question a leader’s attitude towards women and not to hurt your sentiments,” Surekha said on X, tagging the actress.  The Minister also said “the way you have excelled with will power was not only admiration for her but also ideal…”

“If you or your fans feel offended by comments, I unconditionally withdraw my comments,” Surekha said on X.

However, the Minister said she would not withdraw her comments on former Minister KT Rama Rao and said she still sticks to her charges and would not retract those comments.
