Hyderabad: Kone Elevator India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kone Corporation, as part of its efforts to strengthen its presence in Telangana has set up a customer service/experience centre in Hyderabad. The company will also be adding about 500 new jobs in Telangana in the near term.

The new centre located in Kukatpally Housing Board Colony, Kukatpally, covers all aspects such as sales, installation, service, AMC, and modernisation to support increasing customer demand and expectations in Telangana.

Amit Gossain, MD, Kone Elevators India said, “Despite being India’s youngest State, Telangana is an attractive destination for businesses being the major IT hub with favourable climate, uninterrupted power supply, better law & order, placing it among the top States in Ease of Doing Business. Hyderabad and the surrounding areas are very important markets for us, and this new centre is in accordance with our strategy to boost our customer reach deeper and ensure a stronger customer connect in these areas.”

He added, “In the coming years, the country will see an even bigger focus on smart cities and urban development, and our workforce is well equipped to lead this technological advancement and infrastructure development.”

Telangana government’s push for improved infrastructure and real estate development is leading to significant demand for elevators. The company is rolling out a new elevator which will suit high rise buildings. Kone will also be catering to the growing demand for affordable housing and will actively engage with the State government, he informed.
