Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Sirpur(T) MLA Koneru Konappa handed over ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to Dashraiah, father of Sidam Vignesh, a tribal youngster who was recently killed by a tiger at Digida village in Dahegaon mandal, in Kaghaznagar on Friday. The financial aid was granted by the Forest department.

Speaking on the occasion, Konappa assured to extend all support to the family members of Vignesh from the government. He requested the foresters to provide an employment opportunity to the father of the youngster with the department. He promised to bring the incident to the notice of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and to sanction compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of the victim.


The legislator told the authorities of the forest department to take steps to prevent recurrence of similar incidents in future. He stated that the officials were on the job to capture the big and shift to Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad at the earliest. He urged the rural folks not to enter deep forests and to avoid confrontation with the carnivores.

Kaghaznagar Forest Divisional Officer Vijay Kumar and TRS leaders of Dahegaon mandal were present.
