Karimnagar: Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwar on Sunday invited BJP State president and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar to an open debate on developmental works undertaken by the BJP government at the Centre.
“Will Sanjay be ready for a debate on developmental works carried out in Telangana State in the last seven years and the assistance provided to the State by the Union government?” the Minister asked, inviting the BJP leader to an open debate on these issues.
Speaking to reporters in Jammikunta, Eashwar came down heavily on both BJP and Congress for neglecting the country and adopting anti-people and anti-development policies. “Both the parties are responsible for the present situation in the country. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who achieved Statehood for Telangana after leading a long struggle, is ensuring all round development of the State. Instead of extending support to the government, Sanjay and TPCC president A Revanth Reddy are creating unnecessary nuisance,” he said.
Earlier, the Minister held a meeting with the local residents in the vegetable market area of the town. Eashwar said BJP leader Eatala Rajender had done nothing for Huzurabad Assembly constituency. If any development took place in the constituency, it was because of the Chief Minister, he said, adding that Rao had given importance to Rajender and gave him high positions. “Taking advantage, the BJP leader amassed huge wealth and left the TRS after making baseless allegations,” he said.
People should take a decision by going through various aspects and elect a suitable party, which would strive for their welfare. Chandrashekhar Rao was taking the State forward in all fronts by introducing a number of welfare schemes and developmental programmes, he said. While Chandrashekhar Rao’s governance had become a role model for the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was adopting anti-people policies. The prices of essential commodities were skyrocketing due to abnormal hike in the prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas.
Welfare of the people and development of Huzurabad were possible only with TRS and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, he said and appealed to the people to elect TRS candidate in the by-poll.
