Jagtial: Korutla MLA K Vidhyasagar Rao assured to bring Thumula Bhavani, who is stranded in war-hit Ukraine, back to India safely.
The MLA on Friday visited Bhavani’s Bidinagar residence in Metpalli town and interacted with family members. After speaking to the girl through video call, he tried to instill confidence in her as well as her parents Lingam and Radha, assuring to bring her back to home safely.
Vidyasagar RAo spoke to Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao and informed the details of Bhavani to the Minister.
Speaking on the occasion, Vidhyasagar Rao said that the State government was in touch with Indian embassy officials and taking all possible steps to bring all Telangana students stranded in Ukraine back to the State.
Three years ago, Bhavani went to Ukraine to pursue MBBS in Bogomolets National Medical University, Kylv, capital of Ukraine. After one year, she came to Metpalli due to Covid pandemic and after some time, she went back to Ukraine.
In the wake of war, Bhavani tried to return back to India but in vain. She along with other students has been shifted to a bunker located under their hostel, she informed her family members. Bhavani is the younger daughter of Lingam and Radha.
