Siddipet: Dubbak MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy called upon BRS cadres to carry out an extensive campaign on the failures of the Congress government to bring back former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to power so that he could complete all the pending irrigation projects in the district.
Addressing a protest programme organised at Gajwel constituency headquarters on Thursday as part of the party’s statewide weeklong protests, Reddy said that the Congress government had failed to complete pending irrigation projects even three years after coming to power.
Since Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy decided against pumping water from Kaleshwaram, he said the water bodies in Siddipet had touched dead storage levels while the district was reeling under a serious water crisis. Even though he met Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy multiple times over pending canals, land acquisition and projects in his constituency, the BRS MLA said the Minister did not make a single effort towards completing the projects.
He recalled how Chandrashekhar Rao completed multiple irrigation projects within a short span of time. The MLA called upon BRS cadres to carry out a door-to-door campaign across the constituency to expose the failures of the Congress by distributing “Bhaki Cards” to every household in Gajwel constituency. Party constituency in-charge Vanteru Prathapa Reddy and others were present.
