Kothagudem BRS workers told to gear up for local body elections

BRS leaders held a preparatory meeting in Kothagudem to mobilise party workers ahead of the upcoming local body elections in Telangana. Rega Kantha Rao, MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, and former MLAs urged workers to promote flagship welfare schemes like Dalit Bandhu and Rythu Bandhu and counter opposition propaganda through social media.

Kothagudem: BRS leaders called upon the party workers to gear up for the upcoming local body elections in the State and work actively at ground level.

In the context of the upcoming local body elections, a preparatory meeting was held here on Thursday with key leaders and cadres. The party district Rega Kantha Rao, Khammam district president Tata Madhusudhan, MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, former MLAs Vanama Venkateswara Rao, Mecha Nageswara Rao and Banoth Haripriya Nayak addressed the workers.

Kantha Rao said the local body elections were an opportunity to strengthen the party’s trust among the people. Every activist should go to the people explaining how the BRS schemes like Dalit Bandhu, Rythu Bandhu, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak brought change in the lives of the people, he noted.

He suggested that the youth should be encouraged to actively participate in politics and make them partners in the party’s activities. The previous BRS regime’s successes should be conveyed to the people through social media platforms and that an active campaign should be conducted to counter propaganda against the party.

Party leaders Dindigala Rajender, Kapu Seethalakshmi, Ravulapalli Ramprasad, Mane Ramakrishna and others were present.
