Kothagudem Collector asks public to support survey teams

Kothagudem: The District Collector MV Reddy has appealed to the public to support the teams engaged in non-agriculture assets survey.
The Collector along with Rural Development Department Joint Commissioner, P Jagath Kumar Reddy has visited many localities in Laxmidevipally mandal near the district headquarters and interacted with the residents.
Speaking on the occasion, he explained the significance of ongoing household survey for issuing maroon colour passbooks. The survey and the issuing of passbooks were meant for the protection of the houses constructed by poorer sections.
The State government has taken up the survey for the benefit of the residents. The passbooks would also be issued for the houses built on government lands on the lines of farmers’ pattadar passbooks.
Reddy dismissed the rumours that giving assets details to survey teams would lead to an increase in property tax. He directed the survey teams and gram panchayat secretaries to carry out the survey in a careful manner.
Jagath Kumar Reddy later visited BT Colony, Kesavapuram and Jagannathapuram habitations in Paloncha mandal and interacted with the public. He also inspected Rythu Vedika works in the villages.
