Kothagudem: District Collector MV Reddy has suspended Dammapet major gram panchayat sarpanch and deputy sarpanch for alleged misuse of funds.

The collector said that following allegations of misappropriation of funds by sarpanch Vuyyala Chinavenkateswar Rao and his deputy Dara Yugandar, an enquiry was ordered against them. During the probe it was found that the two had spent funds unauthorisedly, following which their services were placed under suspension for a period of six months, said the Collector.

He warned that serious action would be taken against those who misuse public funds.
