Kothagudem: One more dialysis centre would be coming up in the district for the convenience of kidney patients. A statement here on Monday said Health and Finance Minister T Harish Rao has assured to set up a dialysis centre at Paloncha in the district in response to a request made by former Kothagudem MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao. A dialysis centre was already set up at the Government District Headquarters Hospital in Kothagudem four years ago as the Telangana government launched an initiative to develop government hospitals to make quality medical care available to the common man.
But with the increase in the number of patients day by day there was a huge rush at the centre at Kothagudem. Hence Venkat Rao asked Harish Rao to set up a dialysis centre at Paloncha Government Hospital. Responding positively, the minister assured that the dialysis centre would be made available to patients immediately. After the Paloncha centre starts functioning the total number of dialysis centres in the district would be three as a dialysis centre was set up at Bhadrachalam Area Hospital some months ago.
