Kothagudem: Man booked for assaulting minor daughter in Burgampadu
A man in Old Sarapaka, Kothagudem, was booked for kicking and threatening his minor daughter. The incident was reported by the child's mother through the Childline helpline, prompting ICDS officials to lodge a police complaint in Burgampadu.
Kothagudem: A man was booked for allegedly assaulting and terrorising his minor daughter by kicking her at Old Sarapaka in Burgampadu mandal of the district.
The incident came to light after the girl’s mother dialled the Childline-1098 helpline and reported the abuse. The accused, Miriyala Ramesh, is employed at ITC Paper Boards in the locality.
Following the complaint, the local Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) supervisor, Sakkubai, filed a formal complaint with the Burgampadu police. A case has since been registered against Ramesh and investigation is underway.
