Kothagudem: Maoists surrender to police

Kothagudem: CPI (Maoist) Wazedu-Venkatapuram Area Committee member Sodi Ure and seven militia members surrendered to police at Cherla in the district on Saturday.
They surrendered before Superintendent of Police (SP) Sunil Dutt and CRPF 141 Bn A Coy officials. Speaking to the media, SP informed that Ure joined the naxals when she was a minor and working as the guard to Maoist commander Sudhakar for the past two years.
She belongs to Tumrela village of Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh State. As she realised that Maoists were losing support in the public and wanted to live a normal life SP while appealing to the Maoists cadres to come out of the party and join mainstream life.
